The event will be held at the Summit Activities Center on Saturday, February 22, 2020! If you have never been to a Special Olympics event, you won't want to miss it!
Volunteers are still needed! If interested in Volunteering, please contact Sheri at 605-665-5386 or via email at email@example.com
See you there!
Unfortunately, due to weather and other unforeseen circumstances, we are needing to postpone the Amazing Race Challenge to June. The exact date is pending and we will announce as soon as it is confirmed! Thank you!
Many of you have participated in our most popular fundraiser in the past – the always exciting (and cold) Polar Plunge! Due to a number of factors, that hasn’t been held in the Yankton area for the past couple of years.
BUT, we are starting something else that is bound to be a lot of fun. THE AMAZING RACE CHALLENGE!!!! (See the attached flyer) This first one is scheduled for Sunday, May 6th at the Lewis & Clark Recreation Area. We have room for 12 teams of 4, who will participate in 12 challenges (some brain type, some brawn type – and some just a whole lot of fun!) As with the Polar Plunge, we are asking each team member to raise a minimum of $100 ($400 per team) – of course you can always raise more! J
ALL PROCEEDS WILL STAY WITH THE LOCAL SPECIAL OLYMPICS ORGANIZATION!
You may register by going to www.yanktonspecialolympics.org/race or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by contacting ME!
Get your teams together (only the first 12 teams will be able to participate this year – and we already have 1 signed up), raise a few dollars, and get ready for some exciting challenging fun as you support your local Special Olympics athletes!
Feel free to share! And let me know if you have any questions!
